Our Story
Stable Shakers and Bicicletta are owned by Emma Filby and Andrew Boulden.
Since first meeting in 2016 they have shared a love of travel, cocktails and Ice-cream - especially when experiencing new and interesting flavour combinations from some of Europe's newest and trendiest cocktail bars and Gelateria's. As you'll see - Stable Shakers uses mostly small batch and independent local distilleries in their house cocktails; and both Emma and Andy are keen to support local producers by buying local.
Emma comes from a family of hospitality managers and works as a producer of theatre and arts events. Emma's 20 year experience in the arts events industry is evident in the style, quality and presentation of our bars. Emma designed both of our bars and work tirelessly with her dad Eric and Brother-in-law Andrew who helped to convert the bars.
Ever since attending a birthday mixology evening Andy has had a passion and fascination for cocktails, from the unique and often complex flavour profiles to the history of their invention and their rise and fall in popularity though the ages, from prohibition to modern day. A lover of a classic Whiskey Old Fashioned but equally at home sipping an ever popular Espresso Martini (often with a shot of Baileys added for a creamy twist!).

Weddings
& Events
With an increase in outdoor and non-church weddings what could be better than your own bespoke cocktail bar serving drinks or Ice-Creams to your guests on arrival or throughout the evening for the warmer summer days.
The Horsebox Bar makes a great photo opportunity, offering a full bar service to your guests ... and we'll even let the bride and groom shake the first cocktails of the night.
The Bicicletta Bar offers an affordable and romantic alternative for those on a budget. Treat your guests to a glass of Prosecco or an Ice-Cream when they arrive at your reception. if you want to keep it boozy - why not try our cocktail flavouried ice-creams.

Driveway
Mixology
There is nothing better than socialising with your friends and family. Not to mention doing that whilst learning to make your favourite cocktails.
Our Driveway Mixology events are a great way to get your friends and neighbors together in the comfort of your own home.
These events are also perfect for hen and stag events, allowing you to have fun without the cuing to get into a bar and navigate past the bouncer. and crowds at the bar.
All of our mixology events include expert tuition from our in house mixologist Andy. You and your guests will get to learn to make 2 cocktails, learning a bit more about the history behind its invention, methods by which to mix and shake, and guidance n where to source the best ingredients.
